Today see's the start of the 'Bagless week' in London town. A select few retailers in Newington Green are getting rid of the plastic bag in an unofficial agreement. Tescos will offer a limited edition organic fairtrade cotton holdall, and will be a short introduction into what will be compulsory, come Autumn.
B&Q are stripping off as much packaging as possible from its products and Lush is switching to 100% recycled bottles. Furthermore, in Dagenham, Closed Loop opened Britain's frst plant to produce recycled packaging suitable for food, with M&S as their exclusive clients. This will mean that their Food to go packaging will be 100% recycled;
Its not just recycled packaging...its M&S recycled packaging.
